Role: Project Accountant

Location: Brighton (2 days working from home)

VisionFR are excited to be working with an advertising agency in Brighton to find a Project Accountant to join the finance team.
This role will suit an individual with strong attention to detail, a passion for driving change and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Project Accountant will oversee the financial aspects of all projects and services the agency offers, ensuring timely and accurate billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities of theProject Accountantwill include:
- Prepare project financial reports, including project budgets, actuals and forecasts (paid media, account managers and professional services)
- Project billing and revenue recognition processes
- Review project expenses and ensure accurate allocation
- Monitor project profitability and provide regular analysis
- Support project managers with financial information
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Assist with preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts
- Compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies and procedures
Requirements of the Project Accountant:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong knowledge of project accounting principles, practices and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel, financial and CRM systems
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
- Experience in media agencies/Digital publishing or Higher Education
