Position:Project Analyst
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Salary Guide: £30,000 - £35,000 Plus Excellent Package
Our client is a leading Engineering Contractor which operates throughout the UK delivering projects within the water sector and they are looking to strengthen their finance team with a Project Analyst. Based from their head office in Manchester. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and the responsibilities will include:
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all staff time and expenses from all sources are collated and uploaded into IFS on a weekly basis
- Ensure all staff time and expenses are pre-agreed prior to allocation to project / overhead
- Review and reconcile uploaded costs weekly to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Responsible for applying relevant internal and sales rates on a regular basis
- Identification of, and escalation of, any missing internal and sales rates to the Central Business Finance team
- Liaison with Central Finance teams regarding queries
- Assist in cost transfers for the business to ensure Project reported positions are accurately captured
- Update project work breakdown structures and cost allocation as required
- Supporting the Head of Finance to achieve month-end deadlines
- Ensure strict adherence to revenue recognition policy and processes throughout
- Ensure appropriate documentation is in place for review by Head of Finance to allow accurate project set-up, execution and close
- Administer the project at start-up within IFS
- Ensure compliance to all relevant Finance procedures
- Build relationships and improve collaboration with project teams demonstrating clear understanding of project performance and associated risks
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Expert Excel skills and experience in complex data reconciliation
- Attention to detail
- Organised approach to work with good time management skills
- Analytically minded
- Strong project management, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Experience of working in a finance team
