Project and Program Manager

Job Summary:

As a Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering complex and large strategic programs. In addition to managing resources, you will focus on process improvements, stakeholder management, capex management tracking, and running a project review board. You will build effective relationships with global stakeholders and government/governance bodies, ensuring successful program execution. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, communications, risk management, project/program delivery, and resource management.

Responsibilities:

Planning:

  • Provide inputs into strategic business cases, contributing to the development of program objectives and goals.

  • Develop comprehensive plans for large-scale and/or complex programs, coordinating and leading multiple functional teams (internally and externally) to deliver strategic business cases.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate extensively with internal and external global stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment of program objectives.

  • Engage with government/governance bodies to establish effective partnerships and navigate regulatory requirements.

Communications:

  • Take on multiple communication responsibilities, including local, global, and external government and governing bodies communication and engagement.

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the program lifecycle.

Risk Management:

  • Manage complex and reputational risks across projects, strategic initiatives, and government/governing bodies, employing proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.

  • Apply lateral thinking and analytical skills to analyze available information and solve complex problems that may arise during program execution.

Project/Program Delivery:

  • Take ownership of the successful delivery of company-wide/regional strategic programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to more junior Program Managers, fostering their professional growth and development.

  • Managing project review boards, you will ensure that key strategic initiatives are monitored, evaluated, and guided by a diverse group of stakeholders, contributing to the successful execution of programs and the achievement of organizational goals.

Resource Management:

  • Manage resources, including people, finances, and capital expenditures (capex), to deliver complex and large strategic programs.

  • Implement capex management tracking systems to monitor and control spending, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and financial goals.

  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to analyze capex expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven years of related experience preferred, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering complex programs.

  • Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a focus on business, project management, or a related field.

  • Managing Successful Programs Foundation certification preferred, showcasing expertise in program management methodologies and best practices.
