Exciting Opportunity: Project Coordinator

Location: Glasgow

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Join our esteemed client, a leading engineering contractor specialising in sustainable water and wastewater treatment solution, are actively seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team on a permanent basis in Glasgow, contributing to projects throughout Central Scotland.

With recent successes in securing water frameworks, they're expanding their team to include a Project Coordinator within the pre-construction team in Glasgow. In this role, you'll oversee the development projects from initial identification of needs to contract award for construction.

You will work closely with the Pre-Construction Manager and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Efficiently coordinating workloads to ensure timely project completion.
  • Managing design development projects within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Providing weekly progress reports to management.
  • Maintaining and updating project records.
  • Assisting in the development of cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Reviewing design risk assessments and producing scope documentation.
  • Proposing and/or developing value-engineered alternative solutions during the design phase.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and third parties as necessary.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • An HNC in Civil Engineering with relevant civil site experience.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent in delivering water projects.
  • Previous experience in civil engineering is essential.
  • Site experience in the water sector is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid CSCS certification.
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities.
  • A full UK driving license.
