A significant role within the Iberdrola Global Onshore business, this role will provide support to the UK Projects and Construction Onshore business constructing a vast portfolio of windfarms, Solar and Battery Projects across the UK and Ireland. This role will include working closely with wider Projects and Construction teams, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure project budget are managed effectively. 

The Lead Project Co-ordinator will report to the CAPEX and Contracts Manager and be responsible forproviding a high quality, consistent service across projects within ScottishPower Renewables Onshore Projects and Construction.  

Capex dimensions: Circa 400MW of Wind £1.2m/MW equalling £500m and BESS and Solar equalling £500-700m of annual capex (based on 2022), to support growth targets of 2GW of additional installed Wind and New Solar Power by the end of 2025 and a further 3GW by the end of 2030. 

Contract dimensions: Merger & Acquisition opportunities at 1-2GW evaluated per annum Circa 800MW of solar with FID in 2022-23 equalling ~£300m  

The Project Services team will support all onshore projects during the Construction phase to the satisfaction of the Project Managers through the implementation of project reporting and budget control mechanisms. Responsible for all windfarm / project / development reporting internally. Ensuring the status of all pipeline projects is accurately reflected to the business always. 

  

What you'll be doing 

Lead Project Co-ordinatoris a significant role within the Iberdrola Global Onshore business. This role will lead a team of Coordinators who provide support to the UK Projects and Construction Onshore business constructing a vast portfolio of Windfarms, Solar and Battery Projects across the UK and Ireland. This role will include working closely with wider Projects and Construction teams, Control, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure projects are managed effectively & requirements set by the project teams are met. 

The Lead Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Budget Control team to ensure are providing a high quality, consistent service across projects within ScottishPower Renewables Onshore Projects and Construction.  

  

The Project Services team will support all onshore projects during the Construction phase to the satisfaction of the Project Managers through the implementation of project reporting and control mechanisms. Responsible for all windfarm / project / development reporting internally and to Iberdrola Head Office. Ensuring the status of all pipeline projects are accurately reflected to the business always. 

 

   

What you'll bring 

  • Qualified to HND level however degree qualification preferred  

  • SAP expertise in Purchasing and invoicing modules required 

  • PowerBI experience 

  • Training / qualification in project management preferred 

  • Relevant project-based experience within selected discipline and/or direct experience of working within a project environment 

  • Understanding of technical due diligence 

  • Experience within the renewables / power generation industry preferred 

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy of work. 

  • Tenacity and determination to succeed. 

  • Interpersonal and written communication skills. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
