We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to lead a team of commercial and procurement professionals, delivering £250 million per annum of construction and infrastructure projects within a complex nuclear environment.

About the Role: As the Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing all commercial aspects of the PPP contract, ensuring alignment with Sellafield Limited and other PPP partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of major projects while leading a talented team to achieve shared objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of commercial, financial, and procurement professionals to support the PPP mission and deliver projects effectively.
  • Develop and implement collaborative strategies to meet targets and align interests between PPP and Morgan Sindall.
  • Ensure adherence to commercial protocols, including developing and monitoring commercial strategies for all projects.
  • Monitor and challenge aspects of program delivery, identify risks, and implement risk management protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management on program business plans, operating plans, and forecasted positions.
  • Oversee cash flow management and contract value reconciliations to maximize financial outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of changes in commercial legislation and ensure compliance within the team.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and support to team members, including recruitment, performance appraisal, and development planning.
  • Attend business unit board meetings, contribute effectively, and provide input to management reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educated to degree level, with membership in an appropriate professional body.
  • Strong strategic planning and reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of motivating teams to achieve high standards.
  • Proficiency in organizational, planning, and time management.
  • Ability to monitor performance and intervene to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
