Can you help run our control room, manage project finances and put up with our engineers?
The job title is ‘Operational Controller’, but you will be expected to do everything from running meetings with clients to answering the phone. We need somebody highly motivated and organised.
Horan Power Engineering operate and maintain high voltage networks all over the UK and Ireland, and the Operational Controller will help manage the works we carry out on these networks, including emergency call-outs.
Experience managing projects and project finances is essential, as well as amazing computer skills.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Taking calls to our control room, logging work requests and ensuring all client requests are dealt with in a timely manner
- Day-to-day management of the control room, including management of associated databases and preparation of training materials
- Issue of safety equipment to engineers
- Set up jobs and report on profitability using Accelo
- Set up and minute meetings
- Drafting work processes
- General administrative tasks such as booking travel as and when required
Essential Skills:
- Managing projects and project finances
- Highly developed computers skills
- Able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- Must be able to confidentially deal with customers
- Work scheduling
- Well-developed organisational skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in an engineering company
- Qualifications in a relevant area
