An exciting opportunity has been identified for a Project Controls Manager within the Civil Nuclear division of Rolls Royce Power Engineering Ltd.
We are seeking a talented Project Controls Manager with good experience in Finance. In this role, you'll be exposed to Cost (SAP), Planning (Primavera P6) and Risk Management, budget tracking, schedule analysis, trending, reporting (Earned Value), stakeholder engagement, contractor interface, baseline control concepts and procedures to deliver the project to a successful conclusion.

What you will be doing:
You will be Line management for the Project Controls Team, working with Senior Management Teams to ensure that business meets / beats Project & Business commitments. In addition, you'll also be responsible for
- Proactively advise on the ways to improve the processes, procedures and structures, to increase performance of the Projects.
- The assessment and monitoring of risks of the Project, with proactive mitigation management.
- Participation in contract management (client & supply chain).
- Financial lead for the annual budgeting process covering operational costs, cost rate calculation, & project financials for contract value >£100m
- Responsible for UK government reporting to the Office of National Statistics
- Identifying drivers and connections of the business performance
- Producing business forecasts that are balanced, challenging, and supported by coherent assumptions
- Understand, interpret, and constructively challenge, to improve processes and delivery of business performance.
- Lead the Civil Nuclear annual financial audit, interfacing with senior external and internal stakeholders
- Supporting the Commercial Lead in all financials matter for Variations and claims against contracts including escalation & de-escalation calculations
- Provide cover and succession planning for the Commercial lead role, developing commercial skills.

- Extensive knowledge of business planning, reporting and control
- Working knowledge of business risk management
- Experience of managing & interfacing with Senior Stakeholders up to Director level
- Experience in staff management
You must be able to demonstrate good level of business acumen and the ability to work on your own initiative to deliver results - Understanding of drivers that optimise business performance
- A good working knowledge of financial and project management modules of SAP
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of developing effective relationships across functions at all levels, and an effective team player
- Experienced with Project accounting methodology, and accounting standards
- Attained a Project Management qualification eg. APMPQ or PRINCE2
- Attained an accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA
- Experience of working with Hyperion Financial Management (Oracle) and VBM (Value Based Modelling) software
