Project Controls Manager needed for a leading engineering firm based in Glasgow.

What the role of the Project Controls Manager entails:

Some of the main duties of the Project Controls Manager will include:

• Providing practitioner capability in the establishment and maintenance of project control systems to support large, high value, projects
• Applying your expert understanding of Project Controls techniques and knowledge of Project Controls toolsets (e.g., Earned Value Management, Risk, Change) to produce Project Controls deliverables
• Leading and managing the production of various progress reports for presentation to senior management and customers to provide accurate and up to date project information to enable effective decision making
• Supporting the Project Managers / Control Account Managers in managing cost, schedule and quality with associated data and metrics where required, as well as supporting in resolving emergent project issues and mitigating risks
• Coaching and guiding others in the skillset of Project Controls
• Delegating as required for Head of Project Controls and Planning

What experience you need to be the successful Project Controls Manager:

• Experienced Project Controls professional or manager with extensive knowledge of project management (tools, techniques, practices) in a complex engineering/production environment
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to guide and influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain and Production, and guide and develop others in project control
• Experience of earned value management
• Proficient understanding of Project Controls and data analysis toolsets (e.g., Tableau / Power BI, Primavera / planning toolsets, Risk management toolsets, Microsoft office suite)
• Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management
