Job Description
Mission
- Definition of the land strategy solar and storage projects in the prospecting phase.
- Taking a lead role in negotiating and delivering land rights for solar, storage and potentially wind projects and managing ongoing relationships.
Main Accountabilities
- Management of internal land negotiations and geomatic department.
- Representing EDP Renewables professionally, establishing and maintaining good relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, Estate managers, land agents and any others involved in land management on behalf of landowners.
- Setting up partnerships with external land service providers
- Familiarity with and being able to understand farming and forestry economics and regulations
- Attending consultations and meetings with stakeholder groups
- Liaising with and managing in-house and external legal and accounting resource
- Technical support for project managers on land issues, definition of land strategies with project managers, anticipation of land issues, handling of land issues in coordination with the legal and engineering departments.
- Supporting the project managers in the ending phase of the final leases (notary, surveyor, etc.)
- Implementation of procedures related to solar and wind farm land issues.
- Assuring the proper functioning of the GIS team, supervising the following functions:
- Responding to the specific needs of project managers on projects under development (data updates, etc.),
- Analysing the functional geomatics needs of users
- Organising the creation and modification of geomatic tool functionalities in conjunction with headquarters
- Organising the appropriation of mapping tools and the feeding of the internal database by the ENR Project Development teams
- Develop a functional and applicative database
- Organising the updating of the database from internal and external sources.
- Administration the database; and manage user rights.
Required Profile
ACADEMIC LEVEL
- to Degree level. Ideally qualified in a suitable subject (rural surveying, Estate Management).
- Surveyor status is preferable
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in solar, storage and/ or wind Project Development from a land management perspective
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
- Strong negotiation skills and experience of concluding land transactions
- Good understanding of forestry, farming and commercial property sectors, sustainability and land management
- Experience of the w solar, storage and/ or wind development process
- Good client-facing skills and able to communicate complex and technical information and concepts to non-technical third parties.
- Broad knowledge of investment, valuations and funding of projects
- Good presentation skills
- Microsoft Office Package

Fluent English
SKILLS / COMPETENCES
- A driving license is essential
- Previous land surveying experience, ideally in Renewables
- Excellent negotiation, presenting and communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as a kay part of a team
- Excellent written English and report writing skills
- Capable organisation skills and a collaborative and skilled communicator
