Programme Manager

London or Manchester – hybrid working model (2 days a week onsite, 3 days remote)

Fantastic opportunity to secure a Fixed Term Contract Programme Manager role with Smart DCC. The Programme Manager can be based in London or Manchester on a hybrid working model (2 days office based, 3 days remote). The role of Programme Manager comprises both delivery and people management responsibilities. The Programme Manager will deliver and report to a Programme Director and lead in a matrix environment, a team of project managers and manage relationships with third party service providers and internal and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

•           Programme planning and delivery

•           Supporting third Party Supplier procurement and supplier management

•           Supporting the Programme Director in the organisation and coordination of the diverse stakeholder and delivery team matrix to secure delivery of the programme to time and budget

•           Programme resource management, coaching and leadership

•           Risk and issue management

•           Development and maintenance of core programme artefacts (RAID logs, Action tracking, Programme documentation, Decision logs, Requirements Matrices etc)

What are we looking for?

•           The candidate will have managed significant £ multi-million programmes with multiple stakeholders/customers (internal and external) and multiple 3rd suppliers, be used to interacting at Executive level and be passionate about best practice programme management disciplines.

•           Demonstrable experience in leading complex business transformation programmes, 3rd party technology delivery/integration programmes, or significant procurement programmes.

•           Demonstrable experience of building high performing cross-functional programme delivery teams and managing others to consistently deliver high quality within programme timescales.

•           Demonstrable line management experience, leading teams by influence alone of more than 10 people in a high pressure, challenging environment.

•           Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to gain credibility with Executive level stakeholders.

•           Ability to use Microsoft Project and the wider MS Suite to practitioner level or above.
