Our Engineering Consultancy Service focuses on vehicle electrical, electronics and software design, development and integration. We support automotive manufacturers with innovative engineering solutions from vehicle concept through to after sales and diagnostics services.
The Project Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of Electrical features at Module Design level from early feature development to production, upgrade and migration plan.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Engage with all Stakeholders including feature engineers, program application engineers, core engineers and product development functional areas to create a balanced solutions to competing requirements and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
- Develop feature concepts, gather user insights, elicit, cascade and manage feature requirements.
- Perform feature functional safety and cyber security analysis.
- Develop relationships with the supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementations.
- Contribute to the development and integration of new cross-functional features into vehicle programmes.
- Support the framework, processes and tools for successful vehicle programme delivery.
- Complete feature deliverables checklists against Functional Requirements for each programme milestone review.
- Support the framework, processes and tools for successful vehicle programme delivery.
- Complete feature deliverables checklists for programme milestone reviews (feature health assessments).
- Ensure that assigned systems, components, attributes, deliverables and/or processes comply with legal, safety & programme requirements
- Support the feedback loop/ SW validation activities for issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Support build and program application engineers during implementation phase of the SW on different vehicle programs
Your profile
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Experience of working on highly collaborative teams, or other multidisciplinary teams.
- Passionate about automotive and transportation industry.
- Experience converting systems/feature definition into detailed module functional requirements
- Working knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic systems and/or features.
- Experience using Matlab, Simulink, dSpace and/or Vector CAN tools (coursework/internship/co-op experience allowed)
- Experience working with CAN protocol and/or experience diagnosing automotive systems/subsystems
- Familiarity with CAN Protocol and/or experience developing/validating diagnostics for ECUs
