The role
As a Project Engineer, you will join our dedicated Design Team and play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution of engineering projects. The role is crucial in supporting the maritime industry by overseeing the drawings and installation documentation produced by our CAD engineers within the design team.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the entire installation process from a technical lead perspective, collaborating with stakeholders at all milestone points. From investigating requirements to managing safe installations in compliance with industry standards, your expertise will be crucial in delivering successful outcomes. The electrical installations often differ from the usual; this is very interesting and unique work!
Responsibilities;
To oversee the projects which include Installation Guidance Packages. Used by the installation team to enable them to install equipment into the facilitiesAttend, instigate, and contribute to all milestone points throughout the engineering lifecycle liaising with relevant stakeholders. You will presenting key information to relevant multi-level stakeholders. Verbal and writtenManage the installation or de-installation of equipment safely and in accordance with the relevant JSP standards Co-ordinate between Project Management and the Engineering Team leaders for the provision of the Electrical and Mechanical fitters to undertake the installation.Investigate the requirements for installation/de-installation of equipment into the facilities and plan in with the programme, liaising with relevant stakeholders as requiredBe the accountable person for relevant installation activities requiring contractor involvement, acting as a point of contact for contractorsExperience required;
People management experience, responsible for delivery outputAgile decision makingKnowledge of CAD software and 2D/3D designsElectrical/Mechanical knowledge or competency, desirableExperience within Maritime would be advantageous for your development however not essentialIt would be advantageous but not essential to have understanding of DEF Stan 2-40 regulationsDegree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, desired but not essential
