Philanthropies – Bloomberg Connects
Bloomberg Corporate Philanthropy is core to the culture of Bloomberg and has both an internal and external focus. We aim to deliver real, meaningful, and lasting changes around the world focusing on five key areas: the arts, education, the environment, government innovation, and public health. The Corporate Philanthropy team harnesses the company’s resources and the unique expertise and talent of its employees, coordinating the company's partnerships with cultural and charitable organisations globally as well as employee volunteering opportunities across our entire organisation.
The team also oversees Bloomberg Connects, the arts and culture mobile application built and maintained through a successful collaboration between Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies. Bloomberg Philanthropies has long supported the development of cutting-edge digital initiatives; digital technology has the power to make the art and offerings of cultural organisations more accessible – not just to those visiting in-person, but to people anywhere. Designed to expand access and deepen engagement with arts, heritage, and cultural sites worldwide, Bloomberg Connects now serves over 300 cultural institutions and 2.5 million users. Free to both the end users and partner organisations, the app serves as both a digital accompaniment to enhance the in-person experience and as a “passport to culture” with exclusive digital content that users can enjoy anytime, anywhere.
