The Role.
Working in our Business Change team, you will be responsible managing projects, supporting in driving strategic change through the development of projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of a variety of business change projects from initial conception through to implementation and handover to BAU.
Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you will enable the delivery of benefits and ensure plans are in place for key project stages to achieve key milestones, managing risks, issues and dependencies. Working collaboratively, you’ll coordinate all aspects of projects to ensure alignment with other programmes of work across the business.
How you will contribute.
- Managing a range of projects ‘end to end,’ demonstrating the ability to successfully deliver multiple concurrent and/or complex projects to time, cost, quality and scope
- Delivering projects using a variety of approaches – e.g. waterfall, agile
- Working with stakeholders to determine objectives/outcomes, business benefits, priorities, critical success criteria for projects
- Project estimating and planning (resources, schedules, costs), budgeting, forecasting and budgetary management and control
- Planning for, and managing, business change and implementation activities
- Ensuring effective controls are in place on projects – e.g risk and issue management, change control, reporting, etc
- Managing projects through the defined project lifecycle and governance processes
What we are looking for.
- Formal accreditation in project management (APM, Prince2 or equivalent), ideally at practitioner level and experience gained in complex business environment
- Experience of delivering both in-house IT and SaaS solutions
- You will need to be highly proficient in the use of standard Microsoft office tools (PowerPoint, Word, XL, One Note, Visio etc)
- A proven track record transitioning business requirements into solutions which are developed and implemented to deliver the required business outcomes
- Energy industry/utilities experience (desired)
