Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a new challenge with our Public Sector client?
ASA Recruitment is working to source an experienced and highly capable Project Manager. This role is suitable for candidates based in Dundee; our client operates a hybrid working environment with staff expected to attend the office 2 days per week. We expect that the Project Manager would spend most of their time in the initial stages of the assignment in the Dundee Office. The assignment is for 12 months. Daily rate of £170.
The Project Manager will scope, design and initiate key project workstreams to ensure that our client is ready to launch tested and fit for purpose processes and digital solutions when the legislation commences in Summer 2025. As well as new solutions this will involve working with existing digital estate and solutions, and ensuring external and internal stakeholder experience and views are built into design and realisation.
Communication and working with people will be at key to the post the post – bringing together technical resources, subject experts and process teams inside the organisation and outside contractors to deliver in line with programme requirements.
The Project Manager will be supported and overseen by a Programme Board including non-executive Board members and senior management. A key part of the role will be to monitor project status, when necessary, revising the scope and schedule to ensure that project requirements can be met or escalating exceptions to the Programme Board.
Essential Skills
· Qualification as Prince 2 practitioner
· Experience of managing diverse project teams
· Identifying and managing project risk
· Experience of working with agile development of solutions
· Experience of programme and project benefit realisation
· Experience of writing, monitoring, and updating project plans and documentation
· Basic Disclosure/BPSS
Desirable skills
· Experience in public sector procurement
