Morrison Energy Services Electricity Transmission is currently looking torecruit a Project Manager towork on Contracts across the UK.
As the Project Manager you will bepart of our OperationalTeam who areresponsible for the successful delivery ofOver head LineProjects
Potential projects will include both thefull refurbishment of existing Over Head Power Lines to thedevelopment and construction of new Lines required to provideenergy security to the UK. Projects in development are spreadacross England.
As theProject Manageryour duties & responsibilities willbe:
- Ensure Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans andQuality Plans are in place for all operational sites and contributeto the development of Policies & Procedures as may berequired
- Ensure allnecessary documentation is in place, being complied with andregularly reviewed for all site-basedactivities
- Ensure timelyprogramming and change notifications are communicated to supportother internal departments.
- Ensure technical support is provided to the Designdepartment as and when required
- Be the principal contact for correspondence and meetingswith 3rd Parties
- Work closely withthe Head of Operations and Head of Portfolio to co-ordinate andallocate appropriate resource levels acrossprojects
- Ensure contractchanges / compensation events are captured, ensuring that impactevaluation on costs and schedule is undertaken with the Commercialteam
- Using project control to improve theefficiency and enhance the profitability ofprojects
- Ensure timely,accurate and compliant time bookings, out allowance and expensesare submitted
- Produce monthlycontract review reports
- Produce projectclose-out reports
- Attend MES TN andClient contract review / progress meetings
- Coach and mentor members of the project specificmanagement team
- Provide leadershipto the project specific management team
- To act as the face of MES TN with the client and allstakeholders.
- To be commerciallyand contractually aware - therefore ensuring the Contract isadministered correctly to not lose or limit any potentialentitlement
- A working knowledgeof current Health & Safety legislation
- A good understanding of administeringconstruction contracts, specifically NEC3/4
- To understand the basic constructionelements of the UK electrical transmission and distributioninfrastructure
- 5 yrs plus experience in delivering large scaleconstruction projects in the role of ProjectManager
- Client facing experience with blue chip client(s),including chairing and leading with various stakeholders as theorganisations senior representative Willing to travel to and work from allsites throughout the UK Full clean drivinglicense
- Desirable - Operational experience of Overhead Lineconstruction and refurbishment projects
- Desirable - Project Managementqualification(s) and or Degree / HigherEducation
- Desirable - A recognised Health & Safetyqualification, i.e. NEBOSH General Certificate
