Role: Project Manager
Location: South London (2-days from home)
Day Rate: £400 - £500pd. (inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6-month initial contract (likely to be extended)
Situation: The Civils & Infrastructure division at Ford and Stanley are proud to be working with a well-established technology and civils-based rail company who are looking for a Project Manager on a contract basis. This role is to assist in delivering a multimillion-pound (£55m) CCTV installation project. This project is underway with implementation where the current scope includes rolling out the structures that will house the camera units. This means a large amount of steel and concrete (civil-based) will be utilised during critical timings to ensure minimal disturbance to the rail line.
Opportunity: This is part of a wider £1bn rail upgrade project. You will be joining the team during the implementation phase of this project, a very exciting time to be involved. You will directly have a hand in improving the safety of thousands of passengers/rail employees who use the very busy line within London on a daily basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders on all levels including Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and external suppliers.
- Help oversee project completion.
- Visit sites to oversee projects alongside Project Managers.
- Ensure suppliers are adhering to timescales and quality standards.
Key Criteria:
Essential: Experienced Project Manager from a rail/civils background
Essential: Experience working on Transport for London (TfL) and/or London Underground (LUL) projects
Essential: Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with key stakeholders
Essential: Full UK driver’s licence
