About Us

Bexley is an outer London Borough with the best of both worlds, located between the hustle and bustle of London and the Garden of England, Kent. Within the borough we have award winning parks, open spaces and listed heritage sites.

About the Role

Do you have an interest in practice improvement within a Local Authority Children’s Social Care setting and or similar relevant organisational setting? Enjoy partnership working to maximise positive impact on the lives of children? Do you enjoy a challenge and want to support identifying practice improvement and keen to help others manage change for the better? Do you adopt a strengths-based approach, which is complimented by your strong analytical skills and good understanding of data and research and practice guidance.

Bexley is proud to be a learning authority and we want a Project and Improvement lead to be based in our Professional Standards and Quality Assurance Team to help us continue in our journey of ongoing improvements and to help us with inspection readiness, new projects and practice development. You will be based in a supportive and innovative team and we look forward to hearing from you.

We will offer you in return a package that includes a competitive salary, an excellent pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays. For more information on the benefits package on offer please refer to the Candidate Information document attached.

We reserve the right to close adverts earlier than the closing date.

Candidate Profile

Are you a keen strategic team player with an interest in supporting practitioners and senior leadership to deliver good quality services and who work hard to improve the lives of children and families who need help and support?

Do you have a strong understanding of safeguarding and a vision of what ‘good’ looks like in the context of child protection and service delivery.

We are excited to welcome applications from people who share Bexley’s vision and who can help us maintain ‘Outstanding and Good Practice’.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Amanda Gillard on amanda.gillard@bexley.gov.uk.

For the full list of essential and desirable criteria for this role then please refer to the Person Specification within the Job Description attached.
