Project Manager - Groundworks

First Task are working exclusively with a well-established Groundworks contractor based in Central Scotland with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial groundworks packages. With a number of projects currently being negotiated between £3-6m in value, they are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing team.

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing their groundworks projects from inception to completion. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in project management within the construction industry, particularly in commercial groundworks. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate groundworks projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
• Prepare project reports, budgets, and schedules, keeping stakeholders informed of project status.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial groundworks projects such as education, retail and healthcare. 
• Strong understanding of groundworks processes, techniques, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively. 
• Strong customer focus
