Description
As the Project Manager - logistics your role will be to manage allocated projects which typically involves the development and implementation of new business processes to meet identified business needs. You will identify, acquire, and utilise the necessary resources and skills to deliver end-to-end solutions within agreed cost, timescales, effort and quality.
This is a key role within the Business Change team working alongside stakeholders within the business to deliver our ambitious 5-year plan. This role requires the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels within the business. This is a fast-paced and varied role, requiring excellent communication and time-management skills as well as a solid skill set in project management. The Business Change team are passionate about what they do, and we are looking for a like minded individual to join them. The role will suit a candidate who has project management experience within Logistics distribution and supply chain.
Profile
The successful Project Manager - logistics will have the following experience while managing medium to large projects in Logistics distribution and supply chain operational environment with direct responsibility for resources allocated.
- Experienced in the development of project budgets.
- Project management and delivery experience in Logistics distribution and supply chain
- Experienced in the use of project management tools (e.g, Microsoft Project)
- Experience running stakeholder meetings up to Director level.
- Suitable external qualification or proven on-the-job capability in Project / Programme management (e.g. APM, Prince2 certification etc).
- Ability to manage time and prioritise workloads based on urgency and importance without supervision.
- Willingness to see through complicated issues to resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively and politely with colleagues and partners through multiple communication methods (telephone, electronic or face to face).
- Ability to lead, and work, within teams, often sited in multiple locations/geographies.
Job Offer
Basic Salary £65,000 -£70,000 +Bonus
Starting on 25 days holiday rising to 30 days + bank holiday
Hybrid working 2/3 days on site per week
