A key role within the Scottish Power Renewables O&M team focussing on the delivery and co-ordination ofmajor component exchanges on windfarms across the UK&I.
The Project Manager will take lead responsibility for the overall programme for all sites overseeing bothplanned and pro-active major component exchanges, while seeking to maximise production and minimiseturbine downtime.
The Project Manager will be the central point of contract for field operations, civils, logistics and contractmanagement, as well as being a central point of contact for senior management.
What you'll be doing
You will lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver engineering projects, safely, on programme and within budget.
You'll lead and recommend appropriate commercial strategies to the Senior Project Manager in a structured and robust manner. You will support on key decisions and ensure they are supported by sufficient due diligence.
Furthermore, you will lead and manage the production of design and build specifications, manage tender assessments and liaise with external suppliers and contracts to ensure delivery of specifications are met.
What you'll bring
Degree qualification in relevant Engineering discipline
Professional Qualification preferred
Experience in Project Management
Experience and understanding of commercial contracts and negotiations.
Experience and detailed understanding of technical due diligence
Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact
Health & Safety management skills - NEBOSH qualification preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, operating confidently at senior management level
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Experience of writing technical specifications.
Ability to manage people effectively to deliver required outputs in a timely manner
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
