The Opportunity
Following the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC) is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which is due to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have some new and exciting opportunities for Project Managers to support our Main Civil Engineering, Marine and Tunnelling and Enabling and Earthworks programmes on this unique project, as we enter critical phases on our overall Civil Works delivery programme.

What you'll be doing
These exciting positions will be part of the Civil Works Programme and responsible for delivering:
Marine and Tunnelling: beach landing facility, jetty, shafts and intake and outfall tunnels for the nuclear plant cooling systems.
As a Project Manager you'll develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the Civil works overall programme execution plan and define the scope of work to be delivered within contracts and packages of work.
You'll work with multidisciplinary teams on post financial investment contracts and drive the implementation of site- specific design changes.
Each Project Manager you will work closely with especially the SZC supply chain team, the Responsible Designer (RD), the SZC quality team and the suppliers to prepare for and execute the delivery phase of the project.
Who you are
You'll have a track record of supporting the delivery of Marine and Tunnelling projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
Experience supporting the management contractors, consultants, and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment will be key.
You'll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover.
Additionally, you'll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
