Project Manager - Media & Events

We are looking for a Project Manager to plan and deliver projects across 7 Stream Media’s services, from events to short films and studio work for a wide range of clients and industries including Blue-Chip companies and agencies. Experience in video and digital projects would be useful but is not essential. Enthusiastic candidates with experience of planning and organising projects andor events, and with an interest in developing a career in the Video Production industry will be welcome to apply – training and mentoring in the field will be given. You’ll be working closely with the Production Director and in-house creative operation team, as well as a variety of suppliers and freelance support to deliver high quality end products for every client. This role is also an excellent opportunity to help develop new services within our portfolio, and to expand into new industry areas.
* This role will report to the Production Director and involve working heavily with the production team, and clients.
* Main responsibility is to manage the multiple simultaneous and varied production projects end-to-end, collaborating with the internal team, clients, and contractors.
* Assessing creative proposals and planning processes to ensure the final content matches the clients brief and is on time, budget, and to creative expectations.
* Liaise with clients, from concept to delivery, face to face or remotely and understanding their needs to exceed their expected outcomes.
* Project planning and key milestones, and co-ordinating relevant team meetings as required for a successful production project process.
* Regularly briefing team and directors on project progress, monitoring budgets, and flagging overall areas of concern to find resolutions and support.
* Co-ordinating shoot schedules and production timings with production partners and suppliers including clients, freelance operatives, and event suppliers and venues.
* Manage the shoot day set up and delivery in-house, on set, or at events, briefing and monitoring teams for schedule, and troubleshooting as needed! This may require national and international travel and flexible working.
* Working closely with our creative team to support in finding and advising suitable collaborators.
* Being a key contact with external suppliers about project requirements and delivery to ensure all production planning and delivery runs smoothly and with exceptional standards.
* To oversee the post-production process and to review, test, and proofread content before sending the final product to clients.
* To build strong client relationships to garner friendships, confidence, and trust in the 7 Stream brand and standards for long term client and supplier partnerships and repeat business.
About You
Qualifications and Technical Skills:
* Experience in a project planning environment where contact with clients and internal teams was a key task.
* Relevant qualification to minimum A-Level standard or equivalent.
* Can demonstrate experience in a broad marketing field and/or managing events.
* Day-to-day experience of project management software such as monday .com beneficial.
* Experience in using Microsoft tools necessary.
Personal Qualities:
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
* High level of attention to detail and passionate about providing the highest standards of work – near enough is not good enough!
* Confident to lead teams when required and direct suppliers and freelancers to the project brief.
* Cool under pressure, and ability to problem solve when needed.
* Highly organised, punctual, good planning and administrative skills, able to self-manage tasks, time, workload.
* Great communication skills, both verbal and accurate written ability.
* Willing to respect and think of others and contribute to a positive, fun team environment particularly under time constraints.
Salary: £25K to £33K, based on level of experience + discretional annual bonus
Location: Primarily based at our office, near Basingstoke, with potential to occasionally work from home. However, the nature of the role will demand travel depending on projects, and potential overnight stays may be required to support events.
Own transport required, full driving licence desirable, as there are limited public transport links to our office.
Hours: 37.5 basic – Monday to Friday. However, depending on project needs in a fast-paced environment, flexibility will be required, but time in lieu will be arranged in these cases.
