Project Manager - 12 Month FTC
Salix has recently gone through a period of significant growth and is still growing; Salix is in discussions with BEIS regarding Salix expanding its responsibilities to act as a Delivery Agent to manage the delivery of the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund that were launched in July and September 2022. The schemes deliver energy efficiency and low-carbon heating upgrades to low-income households, who live in social and private housing sectors across England.
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on the requirements set by our delivery partners, the Department of Energy and Net Zero (DESNZ), and internal stakeholders to enable the successful implementation of schemes. The role will also involve supporting Salix's strategy of becoming a data-driven organisation, overseeing the prioritisation of projects within the portfolio, and meticulously analysing and planning future technology strategies beyond existing waves.
Key Performance Objectives
- To Deliver all requirements set by 3rd party, Department of Energy and Net Zero and internal stakeholders to enable successful delivery of schemes.
- To Support Salix's strategy of becoming a Data-driven operations
- To Oversee prioritisation within the portfolio of projects, working closely with the IT Delivery team within an Agile Environment and and multiple systems (including external)
- To Analyse and plan on delivering on the future technology strategy beyond existing waves
Key Responsibilities
- To develop and implement project plans to effectively deliver all requirements set by 3rd parties within the given timeline and budget.

- You will collaborate with the IT Delivery team to ensure all projects are prioritised within the portfolio, resources are effectively utilised, and projects are delivered within an agile environment.
- Support operational teams in identifying data sources and developing reporting.
- You will establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Salix's Technology and Data-driven approach, providing regular updates to all stakeholders on strategic operations.
- Conduct thorough analysis and planning of future technology strategies to identify gaps and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions.
- You will implement effective governance structures to ensure all projects align with Salix's policies, standards, and procedures.
- You will develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate and manage potential risks and issues that may arise during the project life cycle.
- Monitor project progress against the plan, analyse reports, and adjust plans to ensure project success.
- Manage project budgets and expenditures, ensuring all costs remain within the approved budget and allocate resources accordingly.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project to ensure effective communication and resolve issues as they arise.
- Support and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement, promoting data analytics to drive effective decision-making.
- You will procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
