Are you an experienced freelance site manager looking for an exciting new project? Our client, a local regional contractor that specialises in projects up to £5 million, is seeking a talented individual to manage the new build and refurbishment of a local primary school.
As the number 1 Manager on site, you will be responsible for overseeing all trades, both internal and external, as well as wet trades. You will work closely with the procurement and surveying teams to call off materials and keep within budget. You will also draw up short term programmes and be responsible for the site diary, writing reports, and liaising directly with the school.
In addition to managing the site, you will also be responsible for on site health and safety, inductions and conducting weekly coordination meetings. You must hold a valid SMSTS, CSCS Management card, and 1st Aid certificate.
The project will start during half term, but will continue when the school returns, so all applicants must hold a valid CRB and List 99 clearance.
To be successful in this role, you must
- be proficient at running all trades, both internal and external
- be able to read and interpret drawings
- have a good eye for detail
- be able to problem solve
- have excellent site management skills.
