The Opportunity:
Construction Project Manager required to work for an established regional contractor a progressive privately owned construction business operating across the Central Southern, Southeast and London regions. A collaboratively focussed business with zero borrowings and turnover in excess of £100M.
This is a permanent role with a key project in West Sussex (£12M) however the regional office is based in Hampshire so you will ideally be located between the two.
As Project Manager you will work closely with and reporting to the Operations Director overseeing all aspects of construction phases ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomous and full project life cycle management responsibilities from pre-construction, throughout operational delivery to successful handover
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage project resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times.
- Ensure commercial responsibilities throughout the complete lifecycle
Requirements:
- Experience of new build, refurbishment and cut & carve projects in excess of £5M is essential.
- Proven experience as a construction Project Manager with a main contract employer.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (Asta) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS)
