Job:Project Manager

Location: Head office Falkirk, projects throughout Scotland

Employment: Full time, permanent

Contract Scotland have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager from a civil engineering background to join a specialist civils contractor who provide technical expertise to a multitude of sectors across the construction industry.  Here, you'll benefit from training and development opportunities under the mentorship of industry experts, all while contributing to innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Our client specialises in the restoration and enhancement of concrete structures, ranging from bridges and wind turbines to tunnels, aqueducts, and heritage-listed buildings. With a diverse clientele including primary contractors, subcontractors, and end clients, they stand at the forefront of their field, offering you exposure to a wide array of projects.

As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

• HSEQ
• Work with budgets.
• Management of Site personnel.
• Commercial Management.
• Reports and record keeping.
• Ensure that all contractual agreements are adhered to.

Essential requirements:

• Educated to a degree or HNC level in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable expertise in civil engineering.
• Experience managing 2-3 sites simultaneously.
• Strong familiarity with health and safety policies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess an extensive level of technical knowledge, understanding, control and responsibility for all civils site activities.
• Be a pro-active communicator.
• Able to work in various locations across Scotland.
• Full UK driver’s license.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering projects.
• Demonstrable expertise in civil engineering.
• Strong familiarity with health and safety policies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
