A new and exciting position has recently become live with a fast growing and well-established organisation in the information security industry.
They are searching for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful applicant must have at least 10+ years of commercial experience as a Project Manager. They will have excellent knowledge of Agile principles, as well as experience and understanding of Waterfall methodologies.
This role requires you to travel to Leeds based office three times a week. This means you must live in and have the right to work in the UK.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Collaborates closely with stakeholders to articulate the project's scope, deliverables, goals, risks, impediments, success metrics, and estimated resource requirements.
- Ensures strict adherence to project scope, meeting budgetary, scheduling, and quality parameters.
- Develops, manages, and disseminates project communication materials, such as charters, schedules, and budgets.
- Regularly provides project status updates to stakeholders, emphasising key achievements, challenges, and risks, at predetermined intervals.
- Conducts comprehensive risk assessments and maintains a thorough risk register for all project activities, implementing changes and reallocating resources as necessary.
- Plans and monitors project budgets and staffing needs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Establishes, schedules, monitors, and reports on metrics and activities related to the project, including oversight of subcontractors.
- Formulates, organises, and monitors interconnected projects, making decisions on strategies and objectives.
- Oversees and develops internal systems and processes, such as JIRA management, tailoring them to meet individual team and project requirements.
- Takes responsibility for training, managing, and motivating the project team, addressing team conflicts as they arise.
Essential Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager ideally in the tech industry.
- Technical expertise in the hardware, software or technical services industry.
- Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering, or a scientific field.
- Technically adept, with recent hands-on experience in project management.
- Proficient in overseeing multiple projects, managing interdependencies, and addressing aspects such as resource allocation, risk assessment, issue tracking, and deliverable management.
- Demonstrated expertise in partner and account relationship management.
- Possesses excellent proficiency in MS Office or Google Docs; familiarity with program/project management software (such as Basecamp, MS Project, etc.)
- Proficient understanding of Agile principles.
- Solid understanding of Waterfall methodologies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Prince 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in working within a high-growth, venture capital-backed environment.
- Familiarity with working in ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 environments.
