The role
As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be contributing to the maintenance of the UK continuous at sea deterrent (CASD). Playing a pivotal role leading various highly complex packages of work, within a highly regulated environment.
Day to day, you'll be creating and undertaking bespoke packages of planning work, working closely with the MOD customer, industry partners and various other Babcock departments, including Production, Commissioning, Supply Chain, Facilities and Commercial.
- Responsible for the leadership, development and coordination of your projects team
- Delivering various packages of work in utilising appropriate project controls and metrics within the area of responsibility, whilst collaborating with project controls team leads to deliver a best for project outcome
- Managing stakeholder engagement with the customer, key subcontractors and the wider business
- Accountable for the time and cost performance while maintaining a best-for-project approach
Essential experience of the Project Manager:
- Experience in operating and delivering in a complex project environment
- Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplined teams
- Experience in managing multi million pound budgets and large complex projects
- Previous experience working with regulators and governing bodies would be beneficial
Qualifications for the Project Manager:
- Degree or HNC in an engineering discipline
- Relevant project management qualification e.g. APMQ
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
