Project Officer/Engineer (Highways/Development Services) - Fixed term for 18 months - £29,777 - £32,076

About the role / service – Development Services

We are small but busy multi disciplined project team, whom the aim is to secure funding to deliver Halton’s Local Plan and Local Transport Plan 3, Primarily focussing on the infrastructure requirements for the Borough. The role will be diverse, and you will be required to support the development of Funding Applications, Monitoring of funding (outcomes/outputs). Provide evidence through research to support policy and strategy document production.

About you

You will have a passion for delivering projects and have the skill set to support the wider team in achieving this. The ability to work independently and as part of a small team is key, whilst being able to interact professionally with team members, other service areas, elected members, internal and external stakeholders.

About the role / service – Highways

Leading a busy service area with an ever-expanding workload and a diversity of demands and opportunities for development. You will be responsible for a small team of Senior Engineers and consultants reporting directly to the Service Manager, involved in all aspects of Highway design, construction, and project management, from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and budget fluctuations are reported promptly.

You will have the ability to develop into the role working independently and closely with the team, be able to interact professionally with team members, other service areas, elected members, regional partners and stakeholders.
