Job description

REED Engineering are delighted to be working with a global leader in manufacturing, who are seeking to employ an experienced Senior Project Engineer. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Oil & Energy, who is looking to contribute to the growth of a company that values professionalism, quality, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for project performance, on-time delivery metrics, and profit and loss reporting within the Projects function.Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee the financial performance of allocated projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
  • Manage multiple complex and strategic projects/customers, contributing to sustained growth and increased company margin.
  • Plan and forecast project sales and margin for assigned projects on a weekly/monthly cycle.
  • Control interfaces between clients, sales, and operations units.
  • Maximise earnings from all allocated projects.
  • Control resources and work effort to achieve targets of shipments and profitability.
  • Ensure customer requirements of specification and program are delivered to ensure satisfaction and repeat orders.
  • Assess commercial risks and opportunities of major projects in conjunction with sales before acceptance and during contract execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline/experience.
  • APMP, Prince 2, or similar qualification in principles of Project Management.
  • Demonstrable experience in an engineering/manufacturing company within a similar role.
  • Project Management experience within an international project-based environment.
  • Knowledge of power and industrial filtration technology and air filtration principles.
  • Comfortable working on high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Previous customer-facing experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality assurance systems (ISO 9001).
