We have an opportunity for a Project Planner to join our South East Water team. The Project Planner is responsible for responsible for producing and maintaining project programmes on our framework contracts for major utilities clients.
The Role:
Reporting to the Contract Management Team the Project Planner will produce individual project schedules as well as manage the overall programme, ensuring that individual projects meet their specific outcomes in consideration of the know constraints. They will be responsible for liaising with the client design team as part of the programme development process.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:
- Deliver works as instructed under the Professional Services Contracts effectively providing early contractor involvement for the mains laying programme of works.
- Work with the commercial team and construction managers to establish, update and maintain project schedules and programmes.
- Liaise with Clancy and client teams (design, consents, engineering, construction and commercial), subcontractors, suppliers on matters relating to planning and programming.
- Proactively liaise with Construction Managers (and third party agents) to ensure that the most effective programme strategy is followed at all times.
- Assess resource requirements based on current and forecast programme workloads and provide regular resource reports to the management team.
- Provide draft project programmes to help design development and upfront project planning.
- Provide programme information for inclusion in the contract KPI/Dashboard and monthly reporting requirements.
- Prepare reports on programme and progress, attending both internal and external monthly planning meetings and weekly operational progress meetings.
- Prepare, update, maintain and communicate the Project Contract Programmes for acceptance on Main Works Contracts.

That you have a detailed and forward-thinking approach to problem solving, a dedicated organiser who thrives on getting the right things done on time and in keeping with project protocols. Expert, demonstratable use of Primavera P6 / MS Project or similar as well as Previous construction and engineering experience within the utilities industry
You will be a team-focused operator who can communicate clearly with a range of different stakeholders and leaves nothing to chance. It’s taken as read that you enjoy keeping systems and project documentation up to date and accurate with experience of working on water or utilities projects.
Educated to HNC/HND minimum, a construction related degree desirable Along with a full clean driving licence, it’s helpful if you understand H&S and Streetworks legislation, as well as the environment in which we operate.
