Purpose of the Role
Join the Purchasing Projects Team as a Project Specialist where you'll provide senior management with business intelligence information to support decision making, and play a pivotal role in driving key project objectives forward through cross-functional collaboration across a variety of teams to include New Vehicle Projects, Research and Development (R&D), Quality and Manufacturing. Reporting into the Purchase Functional Platform Leader your main responsibilities include;

  • Providing and presenting pertinent Project, Cost, Launch and Sourcing information for management decision making
  • Planning and monitoring of functional activities to support delivery of project deliverables and timelines
  • Identification and analysis of problems and provide recommendations for potential solutions to support achievement of project deliverables
  • Developing wide scope of network across all business functions to enable influencing of work
  • Creating strong relationships with internal business stakeholders and Group

About the Team
The Purchasing Project Teams ensure a timely delivery at each PEP (Product Emergence Process) milestone for all new projects. They establish a cross brand purchasing strategy to support the VW Group strategy at Bentley. They also plan the tooling investment budget, obtain authorization and maintain budgetary control over the investments. In addition, a critical part of the team is Forward Sourcing planning for new projects as part of Purchase Projects, working closely with Brand partners Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini.

About you – Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of project management delivery principles and planning approaches
  • Experience working cross functionally to gather information and create plans to achieve deliverables
  • An ability to monitor and influence others to ensure program delivery, providing examples of achieving project milestones within the given time frames
  • Analytical, including data analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Microsoft Office competency using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Word
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with an ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Experience presenting complex subjects to a diverse audience
  • Experience prioritising tasks and escalating as required, in a timely manner
