Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer (HR) for our client a government organisation based in Southampton.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Adult Social Care Teams and to the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group with tasks relating to sourcing support packages and placements and ensuring that individual contracts are in place.
Support the Finance Teams in resolving queries relating to care provided.
This is a 3 month starting contract with the possibility for extensions. This role is office based.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Receive referrals from practitioners and secure appropriate support packages/placements.
- Have access to the social care records of vulnerable adults. Have direct contact where appropriate with vulnerable adults and/or their representatives to advise on details of support secured for that individual and or/provide guidance on the actions the Placement Service will take to secure that support.
- Accurately create individual contracts, to enable payments to be made to providers within agreed timescales. These may include one-off arrangements, or amendments to existing arrangements.
- Ensure effective communication with practitioners, budget holders, providers, commissioners and finance teams and to carry out speedy resolution of queries.
- Inform manager about any gaps or trends identified in the market place when sourcing support packages or placements.
- Monitor occupancy and maintain a register of internal and external services to inform sourcing of placements.
- Assist management with information reports relating to the duties of the post.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade, as required.
- Ensure that support packages/placements are sourced in a timely manner and that everyone involved is kept up to date with progress.
Personal Requirements:
- Communicate confidentially and politely with customers, in a confidential manner using the principles of customer care.
- Liaise effectively with practitioners, provider agencies and other professionals.
- Organise and prioritise own workload to ensure that all contracts/arrangements are created promptly to enable payments to be made to providers within contract terms.
- Have a working knowledge of Excel in order to produce basic documents and update spreadsheets.
- Enhanced DBS certificate Adult & Child barring.
Working Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: £16.88 p/h
Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
