We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, Project Support Officer, to support the Public Health Directorate, Health Protection Service. The role will be focused on supporting the delivery team in Health Protection prevention activities across our communities and settings, to meet our strong ambition for improving population health and health protection functions.
The successful candidate will provide.
Support on health protection prevention projects (e-Bug) with a strong focus on working across a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies and community and voluntary organisations.
This role will include supporting the local outbreak plan and the Health Protection Management Team in coordinating the response activity for infectious diseases, working closely with partners, and local people.
This is an exciting opportunity to a join a dedicated team of Public Health professionals who are committed to reducing inequality and improving population health with a focus on health protection prevention activity.
The Public Health, Health protection team has undergone substantial development, with a key focus on project work in health prevention education / behaviour changes activity. We are looking to expand our excellent team, growing capacity, knowledge, skills and expertise. You will be joining at an exciting time when public health is at the heart of public policy and your skills and expertise will be pivotal in supporting the team in decision making and changing the lives of people who live and work in Bolton.
You will be a very well-motivated person who has excellent and high level organisational and administration skills. You will have experience of supporting programmes and projects monitoring progress against performance, planning targets, identifying where corrective action needs to be taken and escalating issues as required.
You will provide support with stakeholder engagement, mapping and preparation of internal and external communications and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that key staff members are engaged and able to support project delivery timescales.
