Job description

Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. It also aims to disrupt the organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain. Learn more on the Immigration Enforcement careers page.

The Reporting and Offender Management (ROM) operation is the Home Office’s principle point of contact with individuals who have no right to stay in the UK. Individuals will report to one of Immigration Enforcement’s 13 reporting centres or at a local police station, with some 38k plus people currently set up on reporting. When reporting, an offender may be interviewed to gather information that allows Immigration Enforcement to apply for a travel document, make a decision on an outstanding application and promote voluntary returns.

The ROM National Team is currently leading on IE’s Contact Management Strategy in respect of Immigration Bail reporting conditions. Technology and automation is very much at the centre of everything we do to drive performance, processes and efficiencies.

The team is responsible for supporting and coordinating ROM operations across the two Immigration, Compliance and Enforcement (ICE) regions and leads on ROM performance, strategy and policy.

The ROM National team is responsible for supporting and coordinating ROM operations across both ICE/ROM regions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part as we continue to adopt a more strategic approach to contact management and explore the ‘next generation’ of reporting technology; introducing further changes to the way people report, with a blend of robust reporting options that give us greater flexibility and resilience including face to face and technology driven reporting types including digital and telephone reporting.
