Would you like to be part of a vibrant and successful organisation? To feel part of a team that is making a real difference to the lives and communities of Merthyr Tydfil?
The organisation
Here at Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association we are passionate about providing quality and well maintained homes exclusively for people living within the borough of Merthyr Tydfil. We are a community based Housing Association, providing exceptional services to all our customers.
We are only a small Housing Association, currently managing c.1200 units, with a turnover of over £6m and a staff base of 48. However, we punch well above our weight, particularly with our ongoing development programme, which will continue to increase over the next couple of years.
The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a brand-new role, as we continue to expand our Development capability within the Association. This new role will assist the Development Manager with all aspects of the Associations Development Programme from concept to completion, including the acquisition and disposal of property and the maintenance of all manual and computerised records in association with the above programmes.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone with a proactive, can-do attitude, who has good knowledge and hands-on experience of working within the construction and development sectors. Ideally you will have excellent project management skills and experience of working with and holding to account multiple stakeholders. You will be seen as knowledgeable and approachable and able to build positive working relationships with all stakeholders and represent MTHA in a positive way, including in a legal setting.
You will have exceptional organisation and communication skills, with a passion for helping to delivering the strategic development plans of the Association for the local community.
If you would like to work in a social housing development role and to make a real difference to the lives of the people of Merthyr Tydfil then this may be the job for you.
We encourage and welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ candidates. We recognise the value that this diversification can bring to our organisation and commit to guaranteeing an interview for all those who meet the essential criteria in these groups. We identify candidates from these groups by requesting all candidates complete and submit an equality monitoring form with their application.
If you are interested in applying for this post, please visit our website www.mtha.org.uk where you’ll find a full job description, application form and equality monitoring form. Our website also provides further details on how we approach equality and diversity in recruitment.
All application forms, along with a completed equality monitoring form and covering letter should be emailed to our recruitment email address.
The closing date for applications is midday on Wednesday 20th March 2024.
Interviews are planned to take place at the MTHA offices and are likely to take place during w/c 8th or 15th April 2024.
