Role Overview:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by homelessness? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Project Worker to join our team in Haringey.
As a Project Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals in various specialist accommodation services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage communication with people in accommodation services and relevant professionals.
- Provide non-judgmental and empathetic support recognizing the distress faced by those experiencing homelessness.
- Deliver high-quality support, information, and signposting using a person-cantered approach.
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments, identify priorities, risks, assets, and establish move-on options.
- Assist individuals in successful claims for housing benefits, welfare benefits, EU Settled Status, or in-work benefits.
Generic Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping, including case management and financial and administrative systems.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements.
- Commitment to promoting and implementing the Council's Equal Opportunities policies.
- Undertake temporary responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.
- Provide cover for other team members as required across Housing Related Support services.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Personal experience or understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable homeless people.
- Commitment to working responsively to support individuals in planning and realizing their aspirations and strengths.
- Keep abreast of current housing legislation, welfare benefit legislations, and other relevant matters.
- Identify and work with agencies to ensure clients have access to relevant services.
- Ensure accurate recording and management of information for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Apply relevant safeguarding, domestic violence, and health and safety policies.

- Previous experience in working with Homeless
The Package
This is a temporary, Project Worker role, 36 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
