Projects Assistant / Cad Design Engineer

All rounder:

All rounder required to Assist in the day-to-day operations within a busy Design/Projects office. The role encompasses the following key activities:

Assisting in the preparation of design & detailed manufacturing drawings using 'Autocad' & Fusion.
Producing material schedules.

Preparing purchase orders covering specialist equipment, general materials and consumables.

Obtaining supplier costs as required to assist in the monitoring & control of Purchase expenditure.

Co-ordination of equipment deliveries to customer sites including the organising of heavy lifting (crane hire) where required together with suitable transport.

Liaison with client engineers in connection with deliveries with particular attention to special requirements which may be necessary and constraints which may be in effect at the delivery location.

Updating of stock lists and the purchase order database.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of the following software packages:
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word & Access as a minimum.
Autodesk 'Autocad 18 or Later with preferred experience with 3D modelling using Fusion 360.
Having a good basic knowledge of engineering processes linked to sheet metal fabrication processes would be an advantage.
