Property & Finance Support Officer

Goodman Masson are delighted to be supporting Guts UK with their search for a Finance Manager! This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but mighty team, managing the finances and accounts, and contributing to delivering ambitious growth plans.

Established in 1971, Guts UK are the only UK charity funding research, providing information and raising awareness about the entire digestive system - all 25 feet of it! Guts UK's vision is of a world where digestive disorders are better understood, better treated and everyone who lives with one gets the support they need. Their deep-rooted values come from their community of supporters - bold, brave and honest.

This is a part-time opportunity consisting of 22 hours. The organisation are offering between £45,000 and £50,000 (FTE) and great flexibility with the potential to work fully remotely for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing management accounts and annual financial accounts, acting as a main point of contact for external auditors
• General book-keeping including transaction management, balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing cash flow
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budget proposals and planning cycles
• Line managing a Finance Officer, overseeing income processing and leaflet sales process
• Supporting the wider team with any financial requests, reporting or proposals

The successful candidate:

• Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
• Significant, demonstrable experience in:
• Producing management accounts and annual financial accounts and statements
• Financial accounts management and implementing/owning financial controls
• Carrying out complex financial reconciliations
• Charity SORP accounting
• Line management
• Confident systems and Excel user
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build rapport and communicate clearly to diverse audiences
