Property Help Desk Manager

Please note: The location of the role is 'Leeds - Yorkshire and West Malling - Kent' the successful post holder can be based anywhere but must be able to travel to both of these location regularly

As the Property Helpdesk Manager you will lead a Property Help Desk team of 7 Repairs Advisors to ensure the effective provision and delivery of reactive repairs on behalf of occupiers and managers of Salvation Army properties in line with customer expectations and the agreed Service Levels (SLAs) from our suppliers.

The Salvation Army property portfolio comprises approximately 2,700 residential and Commercial properties, with an annual reactive maintenance spend of £12m.

Key responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for leading and developing a highly effective Property Help Desk, comprising of 7 Repairs Advisors (located in Leeds and West Malling), to ensure all repair requests are resolved in line with agreed KPIs, to the required standard and in a professional manner.
• you will be responsible for compiling data, analysing trends, and generating insights to ensure compliance with industry standards and TSA protocols ensuring management of Key Performance Indicators for Helpdesk met.
• Working with Procurement and Estates managers to identify any gaps we may have in contractor availability and performance.
• Strong previous experience of working successfully in a team leader or managerial role within an Estates Maintenance and Facilities Management helpdesk environment for a large and complex organisation.
• Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of reactive repairs and maintenance processes, required for the operational management of a large and varied property portfolio
• Experience of working with contractors in the provision of a reactive repairs service, employing excellent communication skills and securing an excellent standard of service
