Reed is proud to be working with a leading Claims Management Specialist, who currently has a vacancy for a Property Loss Adjuster. They are an award-winning business who are renowned for their inclusive team culture, and will support your development and career aspirations.

You will be a valued part of the growing Loss Adjusting team, handling a busy caseload of varied commercial and domestic property claims. You would be visiting policyholders on site to carry out investigations into their claims, obtaining relevant information to settle the claim fairly and efficiently.

The role is contracted at 37.5 hours per week.
Salary is between £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience. Plus bonus!
You may be based anywhere in Scotland, with time spent between driving to site visits and the rest working remotely from home.

What will you be doing?

• Conducting site visits to assess a range of commercial and domestic property claims
• Empathising and engaging with policyholders to fully understand the impact of the claim
• Building meaningful relationships with client, colleagues and external stakeholders
• Obtain accurate and meaningful information/evidence to support fair assessment of claims
• Confidently negotiating settlement with Policyholders, contractors and third-party representatives
• Identify potential fraudulent claims
• Proactively update all involved parties in accordance with SLAs
• Take responsibility for out of hours calls as per rota

About you:

• You should have previous commercial and domestic property adjusting experience
• Professionally qualified with CII/CILA or working towards qualification
• Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring policyholders receive the best outcome possible
• Strong communicator verbally and written
• Highly analytical, observant and accurate
• Able to demonstrate managing/organising a varied workload
• Excellent time management skills
