A leading Property Maintenance company that has been in the industry for 15 years is now looking for a Property Maintenance Manager to join their team in Hamilton.
Their business offers a wide range of services, including planned and reactive maintenance, compliance, refurbishments, and FM services to the retail, commercial & Housing industry.
You will be provided with a company pool vehicle for any site surveys & meetings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Clients, Engineers & Helpdesk Staff
- Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Measure, price, negotiate and agree on budgets and costs for variations to project scope
- Check project costs are correct and raise/resolve queries where necessary
- Attend any site pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions
- Analyse Engineers & subcontractor Site Surveys & quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
- Compile subcontract orders for approval
- Visit site to measure and value works completed
- Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance
- Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office Help Desk and the site, carrying out other duties as required
Required Experience:
- Ideally hold a relevant degree/HND (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Construction Management), or relevant experience within the same industry or a construction trade background.
- Must have experience in reactive & planned maintenance, working for various type of commercial clients including Housing Associations.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in maintenance & construction & be able to work well both in a team and individually
Required Skills:
- Possess good communication skills
- Be self-motivated, detail orientated and very organised, with an aptitude for working with numbers and absorbing and analysing technical information
- Have good IT skills (including proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word)
- A company pool vehicle will be available for any site surveys & meetings
- Must have a Current Driving Licence to drive in the UK
