Leicestershire County Council’s in-house Legal Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious property lawyer to join its friendly and busy Environment & Property Team working with the County Council’s in-house Property Services team.
Eligible candidates should have qualified as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive and have experience in working in local government or private practice.
The successful applicant will provide legal advice and representation to the County Council on a broad spectrum of property matter comprising all aspects of mainly non-residential conveyancing arising from land transactions including the sales and purchases of significant value freehold and leasehold land and the granting, terminating and renewal of industrial, commercial and agricultural lease with an emphasis on leases granted to academies on conversion of schools to academies and be able to provide advice in relation to all aspects of property law to instructing client officers.
