Property Underwriter

Are you an Underwriter with good knowledge, understanding and experience of Commercial Property Insurance? If so, we have a fantastic new opportunity to join the growing team of our key insurer client in Manchester City Centre.

We are delighted to be able to bring to market this exclusive opportunity for a Property Underwriter to join one of the most exciting insurers in the market, a Scandinavian business with state of the art Spinningfields offices.

The Opportunity:

You will have a good understanding and knowledge of Property Insurance and understand the importance of assessing risk and the exposure. Starting with the Underwriting and case management of existing Corporate Property policies, handling the cases throughout the year and at renewal cycle, you will work effectively and collaboratively with the underwriting team towards profitable growth whilst building strong broker and client relationships.

You will relish working in a challenging yet very exciting environment working closely with experienced and well respected Underwriters, Risk Engineers and Analysts who will support you along the way.

Creating strong broker relationships will form a key part of your role and our client encourages and supports underwriters to be out in the market for renewal discussions.

Skills & Experience:

• You will possess a good background in Commercial Property Insurance underwriting with the ability to take on a big renewal book and hit the ground running.
• Experience of Business Interruption is also required.
• Possessing strong communication and presentation skills is key.
• Excellent organisational skills is another important quality required for your success in the role.
• Must be able to demonstrate that you fit into the company values of being Credible, Open, Bold and Committed.
• A good team worker who will embrace our client’s 'One Team’ approach.
