What Are We Looking For?

Our Sales team is looking to recruit a Proposal Engineer to join our business on a permanent basis to aid in the submission and award of contracts across the UK. As a specialist business in the MCC and power control sector, we are ideally placed to offer you a diverse portfolio of work to tender for as well as the opportunity to work alongside an established team to deliver control system solutions to industry.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Preparation of proposals compliance documentation as required.
• Produce and manage technical documentation to support the tender process for proposals.
• Updating Proposals Trackers, defining project tasks associated with technical document submissions, identifying project deliverables.
• Manage Sharepoint folders for proposals and manage access to proposal team.
• Delegate and Coordinate input from technical writers and subject matter experts.
• Review responses received from the team supporting the proposal, ensuring that responses fully cover the questions asked and meet all criteria given by the client.
• Proofreading and formatting to ensure a high standard of English in responses, with consistent and clear visual presentation, ensuring that documents conform to the Company and customer’s required formatting.
• Ensure that the Commercial team are notified of tenders, ensuring that the Terms and Conditions of the contract are reviewed by those responsible within the required timescales.
• Coordinate tender queries, including clarifications by the Client, RSE and suppliers, maintaining and distributing tender clarification registers.
• Compilation of final tender documentation.
• Upload and submission of tender documentation to client portals.
• Production and circulation of any required proposals reporting.
• Maintaining Proposals Pipeline.

Manage the production of case studies for our products / projects and maintain a database for corporate use.

What Do You Need?

• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and with Clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff (face to face, telephone and by remote video communications) to obtain technical information.
• High competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Document Control Applications (ideally SharePoint, or similar).
• Ideally have some experience of producing technical documentation.
• Any previous experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication sector(s) would be highly advantageous.
