Job description

Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

Ready to explore a career path? Start your journey.
Do you have a passion for travel and tech? And want to work for an exciting company that’s at the top of their industry?
Business travel is back and we’re looking for talented individuals to join a team that’s working hard to reinvent the industry and make those real-life connections truly seamless once again.
Who Are We?
AMEX GBT Egencia is the original category disruptor and the world’s leading B2B SaaS business in travel. Driven by curiosity and backed by industry leading data and customer insights, we’re a trusted business travel partner that delivers the best technology and experiences - no matter the odds.
With the support of our partners and travel consultants, we deliver unrivalled value, while helping companies in over 60 markets meet sustainability goals and prioritize the wellbeing of their travelers. And we need people like you.
The Proposal Writer is a key resource for our global sales teams. This role is responsible for leading and responding to all aspects of Corporate Travel Management RFP/RFI/RFQ and informational requests, working closely with the sales lead to provide consultative and responsive support. This support includes, but is not limited to, leadership of proposal generation, and Pre- & Post-submittal questions throughout the Acquisition process. The Proposal Writer will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures, tools, databases, and tracking systems related to managing bid responses.
What you'll do:
  • The primary responsibility of the Proposal Writer is to work with our Sales and Account Management Teams throughout the entire acquisition process to develop detailed and customized bid responses within the schedule provided. The Proposal Writer will be called upon to apply effective Project Management methodologies in completing a bid project, including:
  • Leading kick-off, strategy, final check, and post-submittal debrief meetings
  • Completing a Gap Analysis of client needs vs. Egencia's current response capabilities
  • Assessing requirements and communicating with business and technical resources to support the response
  • Working with multiple groups across time zones to get any and all information necessary for the bid
  • Building a Plan of Action to deliver all items required to successfully complete the bid
  • Writing and delivering multiple drafts and incorporating feedback into the final proposal
  • Producing and delivering the final bid, which may include both electronic and hard-copies
  • Resolving all post-submittal bid-related questions from the client
  • The Proposal Writer will support the maintenance of the RFP Database, stay abreast of competitor practices, keep current on all marketing materials, maintain relevant data in Salesforce, and answer ad-hoc requests.

What we're looking for:
You have experience securing new business for an enterprise that help companies optimize their business processes. You have a track record of success working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and collaborative environment while producing high-quality written content. Demonstrated experience creating client-facing materials, as well as excellent business writing skills that can be flexibly applied to a variety of business needs.
  • 5+ years experience working as a Proposal Writer responsible for creating bids for a company that has a focus in technology solutions
  • 5+ years experience in support of a Global B2B sales organization leading and responding to inbound/outbound RFP's
  • Awesome research, writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation skills
