Prosecutions Solicitor
Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Welsh local authority which is in need of a skilled Prosecutions Solicitor to join their litigation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling criminal regulatory prosecutions, as well as other areas of work relating to litigation. The candidate will be expected to conduct litigation and, where necessary and appropriate, appear as an advocate for the council in court and at tribunals, hearings, and inquiries.
ROLE: Prosecutions Solicitor
LOCATION: South Wales - Local Authority
CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 month rolling
RATE: £40-£45ph
Key Responsibilities
- Handling your own criminal regulatory prosecutions caseload from start to completion
- Conducting litigation
- Appearing as an advocate for the company in court and at tribunals, hearings, and inquiries
- Handling general civil litigation
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' experience in litigation
- Experience in criminal regulatory prosecutions
- Experience in education law and general civil litigation is desirable
- Ability to conduct litigation and appear as an advocate for the company in court and at tribunals, hearings, and inquiries
