KB17 PSV Chargehand - Nights Beddington, London £54,870 P/A Are you a PSV Chargehand looking for a new role based in Beddington? Do you want to join the fastest growing business in their sector? As a PSV Chargehand, you will be working in the Engineering team based at the Beddington Depot, working a shift pattern of 4 nights on and 4 nights off. You will play a key role in running a large volume of vehicles a PSV Chargehand, being vital in London’s public transport service. Your duties as a PSV Chargehand: · Investigating and diagnosing any mechanical and electronic faults · Recording faults, and the work completed to fix them, using a tablet. · Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining buses. · Checking the quality of repairs completed. · Making decisions about road calls · Liaising with iBus and the engineering team to avoid lost mileage. · Following safety instructions and reporting any issues. · Regularly updating the Service Manager on progress and support with planning. The ideal Candidate for this PSV Chargehand position: · At least an NVQ level 2 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification). · OR five years’ experience repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles. · Know how to use fleet management technical computer systems. · Be able to work well using your own initiative. · Be safety conscious in everything you do. · Hold a IRTEC and SMT qualification from the awarding body. If you don’t have an NVQ you will need to pass the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam within the first 6 months.
